As some of you knew, I had an 8 strings guitar under construction since 2 1/2 years ago. Now, I have it on my hands already finish and tested!!! And I alread record the backing track for the "Meshuggah Style Collab" with this guitar. So, no more words, let's go to what matters
My dog still admires it as me!!
It has a dragon sculpted with the middle of it in the 12th fret
Here you can see the bridge, made specially by the luthier for this guitar
Here's with my other babes
In the studio, during the bass recording session of Thabu's new Ep
And some live pics
And of course, it will be a lesson with this guitar soon, so, stay tuned!!
If you want to listen more material with it, you can check out a new Thabu song on the band's myspace www.myspace.com/thabuspace

Wow. AMAZING. Just Killer! The inlay on the fret board is a a great touch. I play a 7 string Ibanez and have wanted to try an 8. I'd love to contribute to the Meshegga collaboration too!

I understand the symbolism. But aside, the Octopus (and close relatives Cuttlefish and Squid) are among the most intelligent animals. Quite large brains.

Nice work! How do you tune it?
From low b to a high a or low f# to e?

Thank you so much guys, I'm really glad you liked it. For the question that Zakk and Jstcrsn, it is tuned F#, B, E, A, D, G, B, E. Those Emg's give me real power on the F# string!!

Thanks Marc. This one is specially made by a local Luthier that I'm work with. But I know that there are some models of 8 strings Ibanez and Schecter rounding there. You should find something on a major instrument store or at least ask.

Wow.. that's a monster! You must be able to tear down the sky and raise mountains with that guitar. Scary!

Very nice! Congrats! I'm still playing a 6 and only thinking about a 7. Looks like they did a great job building that guityar. Can't wait to hear and see it in a lesson.

Wow, that's awesome man! Congratulations! These monsters need a modern amp full of bass to put out all the lowest notes properly. But it's definitely greasy chugin on this one

I realized of that when I had to record the new Thabu ep. I had to work with frequencies that were out of use in my 32 band eq that I use. Quite a challenge to get a nice and clear sound.

That is one of the most killer guitars I've ever seen. The inlay, the choice if pickups and trem, just brilliant. Well done getting that.
