Hi man, nice guitar!

This is a very good lesson to work on alternate picking. You are on the right track with this one but you have to continue practicing it to make the licks sound smooth all the time, to make your picking more consistent and also to play the whole lesson tight with the backing. I find some little timing issues that become more important in the last seconds.

Keep on practicing this one and start working on any other AP lesson. Feel free to contact me if you want suggestions on how to continue.

Cheers!

Hey mate!

This is indeed a very good lesson for alternate picking wink.gif And you are already on your path with doing a great job, but as Gabi said, you need to work on your hand synch a bit more. Please slow down the lesson and make sure that both your hands are in perfect synch and the timing is correct and then, maybe record against the original lesson, to notice the eventual differences.

I would totally recommend you to take a look at this lesson as well: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Picking-Hand-Basics/

It deals with basic picking in the context of various rhythmic subdivisions - it will help out a lot wink.gif

Also, if you wish to develop your AP skills further, please let me know and send me a PM!

Hi thevenin,

well done!!!
As the others already said. Keep an eye on your timing, specially this kind of (Metal) playing needs accurate 8th(and 16ts etc).

I also noticed a really high Gain setting. I suggest to start with lower overdrive gain to get out more dynamic in your playing. And you'll find out this could be a lot more difficult to play accurate because of the amount of more dynamics, Later when you switch back to HiGain all seems easier but then you have to watch about more string noise.

Keep it up!!!

Good job, man! I'm on with Guido on this one. I'd even suggest you practice these kind of things starting from a clean sound, so you can analyze the warmth and quality of your tone, and build it up gradually towards high gain. Keep on rocking! smile.gif
