Posted by: Slammer Nov 20 2008, 03:56 PM

Ahh, The classic Pseudonym. You gotta love em'

Which one do you like the best?

If you can think of another one please name biggrin.gif

Posted by: Bogdan Radovic Nov 20 2008, 04:02 PM

hmm Buckethead , you really gotta be something to think of that smile.gif

Posted by: OrganisedConfusion Nov 20 2008, 04:03 PM

Zakk Wylde is the worst one biggrin.gif

Posted by: Fran Nov 20 2008, 04:05 PM

I voted Buckethead, the guy is something else in every sense: music/look/behaviour, really different.

Posted by: Vurpa Nov 20 2008, 04:06 PM

Dimebag! biggrin.gif

Posted by: fatb0t Nov 20 2008, 04:12 PM

They're all super cheesy as far as I'm concerned. But I'd have to vote for Dimebag or Buckethead.

Posted by: skennington Nov 20 2008, 04:21 PM

Flea (Michael Balzary) RHCP. How do you come up with calling yourself a flea? laugh.gif

Posted by: Dejan Farkas Nov 20 2008, 04:21 PM

I voted The Edge smile.gif

Simple and sharp biggrin.gif

Posted by: Praetorian Nov 20 2008, 04:26 PM

I would say John 5. Putting a number in your name is cool...BUT Marilyn Manson gave him that name and Manson is a complete tool so I can't suggest him!

Posted by: Caelumamittendum Nov 20 2008, 04:26 PM

Never been much of a fan of pseudonyms. I would probably stick to my middle name as a "pseudonum", if I became popular. Of course my middle name is "Storm" tongue.gif

Anyways... I voted other and then I will find someone who has a cooler pseudonym.

Pretty RPG.

Posted by: fkalich Nov 20 2008, 06:40 PM

Slash, because it was his childhood nickname, and had nothing to do with guitar in the beginning, but sounds like a guitar player name.

Posted by: Capt.Z Nov 20 2008, 06:48 PM

I always wondered about Slash... and Zakk Wylde... WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WHERE DID IT COME FROM?? tongue.gif

anyway, I said Buckethead... He's kinda weird... but amazing!! biggrin.gif

Posted by: Slammer Nov 20 2008, 07:01 PM

LOL

I always thought Zakk Wylde was his real name. laugh.gif

Yeah, you guys have come up with some good ones. Flea, John 5,

One more, I guess it really isn't a pseudonym, more like a alter ego, but GUITARTUBE!!

His original last name was Wielandt, I expect that is where the Wylde came from. His original first name was Jeffrey, so go figure about Zakk.

No one likes blues boy king?sad.gif

Well, traditional for the name is Zack. Short for Issac. Wylde is Irish Catholic (American), and I never knew any Issac's growing up in Catholic school. It is like Lisa probably. There are a zillion ways people spell that now, Liza, Leeza. Well maybe less than a zillion.

I suspect that name predated stardom for him, from school, but just a guess. I know that Jeffrey had connotations of the type of kid who could not play football after school because of violin lessons, at least when I was growing up, sort of like Stanley (but not as bad, nothing was as bad as Stanley...my middle name). It may be different now. Now the name may now conjure up images of Rambo for all I know.

Best pseudonym has to be STING

Posted by: Staffy Oct 21 2009, 10:23 PM

I go for "Slowhand" (Eric Clapton)...

//Staffay

Posted by: Skewlbuzz Oct 22 2009, 08:11 AM

Voted Buckethead, but I also dig the nicknames of the EODM gang. Jesse "Boots Electric" Hughes and Josh "Baby Duck" Homme etc. :]

Posted by: Trond Vold Oct 23 2009, 01:23 AM

I think the best one is Olga smile.gif

It's the pseudonuym of Michael Algar from The Toy Dolls.

Posted by: djohnneay Oct 23 2009, 03:35 PM

Slash !

Saul Hudson got his nickname from the father of a childhood friend, who called him 'Slash' because Saul was always in a hurry and so he only saw him in a flash/slash smile.gif It's original, because the more obvious alternative would be flash, but that wouldn't be as cool as Slash biggrin.gif
