GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ "re-reading Rammstein*: Neue Deutsche Härte And (trans)national Identity"

Posted by: Todd Simpson Feb 19 2011, 01:18 AM

I can't wait to see this smile.gif My local University http://www.gsu.edu Is having a symposium/presentation on "Re-Reading Rammstein". Looking at the cultural importance of this seminal band in the context of "Neue Deutsche Hart"

I'm going to try to video tape this. It's going to be very interesting to see a band like Rammstein put under the academic microscope and analyzed to the nth degree. I"m really glad to see German Music becoming more and more important globally in terms of listenership and in terms of it's impact on culture and now Academia. Here are the Details.

In connection with next week's Southeast German Studies Workshop hosted
by GSU, two talks will be held at GSU that may be of interest to some of
you.

It's well deserved, those guys have taken the risk of doing pretty different things

Well said wink.gif It's great to see intellectual interest in such a primal band.
