Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi guys,

after quite some time I decided to use the Rec-program a bit more frequently again. For a start, I have picked the Melodic Power Metal Solo lesson by Lian. I recently changed the pick-holding position to gain some more speed when it comes to alternate picking and to have more control over the pcik when soloing. This is why I picked this easier solo lesson. I still had some problems with the faster pciking parts. I also want to improve my bending, as my bends tend to be out of tune.
Original lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Melodi...wer_Metal_Solo/
Recorded with an Ibanez guitar, a Behringer V-amp 3 and a webcam.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Christian

hey man! great take smile.gif
as you said it's not perfect. fast parts need a bit more of work.
and also, pay attention there are several notes out of tune. the first one per example.
anyway, your take is pretty close to the original, so you got an 8 smile.gif

The notes are there and you memorized them well. I think you need to loosen your right hand a bit more so you don't feel too much pressure on it as I can tell by the video,

Also loosen your left hand to make the vibrato more aggressive and hence more expressive!

Thanks for sharing!

You also need to clear up the licks, and I'd use a bit more gain.
