Keep resting for another day, and then get professional advice.

P.S: This seems to be happening alot on GMC. You guys need to take it easy and re-think your playing routines.

After I got my injury my fingers could barely be moved, but I think thats because I was used to playing for hours every day, then when I stopped my fingers got very stiff.

Try muscle gel, it really helps alot.

You use it on areas of your body that hurts or are stiff. I think its pretty much the same as tiger balsam.

Excellent.

The day after I started using muscle gel I felt a huge improvement, and the day after that the pain was gone. And about 4 days ago I stopped using it because I didnt have more left, and since then it has gotten worse, today it really sucked, but now I bought more and gonna see how it goes the next few days.

It really does help, try it.

I'm feeling a bit of a twang in the elbow of my left arm actually, nothing serious but I think I may leave out playing for today so as not to aggrevate it, probably bad holding of the guitar - I let it drift instead of holding on my knee at all.

I'm a very relaxed player - I feel anyway, so I dont usually have that many problems but it seems lots of people find it easy to sustain guitar related injury which is quite worrying, so I'm going to be careful not to do the same for myself. smile.gif

Hi Kevin

I know you probably do this already but if you don't always warm up before you start to practice and remember that when you are playing you should be relaxed even if you play shred. If it hurts then stop.

Btw cod liver oil is good for joints and not just good for old people. I take a capsule every day cool.gif

Best

Seriously mate - see a doc as soon as possible as it can easily develop in to pneumonia or pleuresy - not good. I have a condition called alpha 1 ATD (inherited emphasema) and so know pretty well how easily bronchitis can flare in to something worse (not that bronchitis is nice though).

Cheers,
Tony

Actually Tony, I had to go to the Emergency Room for it 2 nights ago so I have already been seen. They told me that it was the early stage of Pneumonia, but its still Bronchitis at that point but now I feel worse so I think I have Pneumonia at this point.

Yeah, I know what you mean by something becoming something worse by the way I am ALWAYS sick, last year I had to have 4 surgeries over the coarse of 2 months because I had infections in my tonsils and they could not take them out until they were healed, plus I have chronic ear infections and all these other problems.

Like i said before. SOOOO LAME! sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you went to the doctor. I don't run to the doctor for everything, but that sounds like you had better. You don't want this turning into something that has you on your back for 6 months. If you have health insurance, go to the emergency room if necessary, or see your doctor. Otherwise see one of those health clinics. I have gone to those just because my deductible is so high, and the insurance company gives you a break (free last time) if you go to some of those places. I have no idea what you status is health insurance wise. Assuming you live in the US.

If you are a student, the Universities often have facilities.

Well I'm 17 (18 on Dec 19th) So i'm still under my mothers insurance. I did go to the ER the other day because my doctor was not at his office then so the secretary called him and he told her to tell me to go to the ER and have chest x-rays. Thats how I found out what I have, but since the visit to the ER 2 nights ago, i've been feeling worse so I dont know if I should go back, perhaps i'll wait until tomorrow and see how I feel in the morning.

Yes I do like in the U.S. by the way, I live in MA.

Thanks for your support guys.

TBH Unleash I'd probably still go and get it checked again as pneumonia can develop pretty quickly and when you've already got bronchitis you're that much more at risk. (albeit I don't know how it works out in the US vis health insurance as fklaitch is rightly saying. Even so, as he says, still worth it as your health is more important.)
