Hello,

I have not used my amp for a couple of months. I have been doing my practicing and lessons straight out of my RP255 into my headphones.

I have had some time with the wife and kids out of the house the last few days and have been using the amp. I cannot get the tone to sound anything like I am getting out of the headphones. It does not sound bad, but not what I want.

I have a small, old, Peavey backstage amp. For what I need an amp for it works. Just wanted to know where to start, or if I am asking for something that is not obtainable.

Thanks,
Brian S.

Hello All,

I have been looking for a while and think I am going to pull the trigger on a new guitar. I have a Epiphone Les Paul Custom currently. The weight of the guitar (yeah I am old tongue.gif ), and the difficulty I have with playing on the higher frets are the main reasons.

I am considering an Ibanez (love the neck), LTD, and a Shecter. All are in the $600 range.

Any pros or cons that I should be aware of? When people say the LTD is a Metal guitar is the because of the stock pickups? If so I could just put a passive pickup in the neck and be good to go?

At the end of the day I am sure I would be happy with either but would value some non-biased input.

Thanks,
Brian S.
