I've been working a little (or more) on your Alternate Picking 16th Notes lesson ( http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guitar/alternate-picking-16th-note-exercises/ )
Yesterday I finally managed to hit 1 whole measure of one of the licks at 160 BPM.
I can play the whole thing in the mid-140's, but I figured I just focus on one measure and see if I couldn't up the speed a little and work outward from there. It worked.
Now if I can get the whole thing up to 160 BPM, I'll be happy.
Thanks Jose.
That is Awesome
16th note triplets, 140 is already blazing fast, I believe that most shredders play 16th triplets at around 132-145, it is good to see how far you can take it.
Keep going up 2 bpm at a time, by all means try to get to 160 bpm, but believe me at 140 you will already blow away listeners if you are playing clean and accurate.
Good luck, and keep the shred alive!!
Jose
I meant straight 16th notes at 160 BPM (16 notes per measure in 4/4). I was able to expand it to 2 measures this morning. My arm/shoulder gets all crampy if I work on it too much though.
Your 220bpm Speed Metal Shred Solo lessons is crazy fast. I don't have the desire to push myself to that level but it's great to see someone who does.
