Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey guys,

Nikeman64
The Led Zep Groove - Level 3
Instructor : Adrian Figallo

This is my first post so I hope this is the right way to do this :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvV-jum_T30

I recorded it with my Les Paul and POD X3
I did another take and panned both tracks to get that stereo spread, as in the original lesson.

Hello again smile.gif

well, as before, timing is good, tone also, but keep working on the articulation. smile.gif it's the thing that makes the difference! You want the riff to be groovie - to get grooving you need good timing and good articulation - so work on the little vibrated notes which usually end the phrases smile.gif I'm sure you'll get it flowing wink.gif

Are you sure it's not Arnold Schwarzenegger playing that guitar ??? Dude, you must pump some serious iron.. good on ya ! wink.gif

Like Cosmin said, the articulation could be a little stronger and more confident but it's an all round good take. I think that would come naturally with being confident and relaxed with the piece, therefore you can really let your hands 'swing' with the beat. smile.gif

The take is really good, the timing and intonation is much better than in the other video you posted, so analyse the way you approached each piece and try to implement the strengths of this one in the other,

Sounds very good man, there is nice degree of attitude here, as well as fine playing. I advise that you try to work a bit more on the timing. You seemed a bit tensed up, try to relax and get into the groove, to make it sound more fluid.

This is a very good take man! I would just say that your vibrato could be a bit more aggressive in the longer notes and mayb there are some very very little timing issues but nothing serious. Well done!
