:shock
i think that one's quite tricky cause my fingers don't get the right motion of playing the 14th fret on the E and then the 13th on the B when i build up speed...But i keep trying biggrin.gif

Hey there tongue.gif

When I practice sweeppicking and do that c chord kinda arpeggio like jeff showed I always don't know for sure if I have to use my pinky for the high notes OR my ringfinger :shock cause I see Kris doing it with his ringfinger which is ofcourse more practical when you go high up the fretboard but when you go up your ringfinger have to huge steps right.. so which way do I have to learn it?? plzz help mee! :eye

So what you're asking is ''do you have to use your pinky when sweeping?'' if that is the question then the answer is, no, but, if you do it will make you alot faster, and itll make it easier once you jump over the hurdle of handling the pinky for sweeping properly.

I use my pinky whenever possible. However, you are right when you go higher up on the fretboard you may switch to your ring finger if it works better for you. In my case, I have a 24 fret PRS so the frets are a little closer together the higher up I go.

I work on that particular riff to get my picking down more than my fingering because I need the pick work practice.

I usually run this formation up and down the board one fret after another for an hour or so. I helps me. I also try to do it with alternate picking because I as I said I need the pick work.

Hope this helps.

jeff
