Tried so hard to mute it (not raising the finger too fast or even raising it but keeping finger contact on the string), that usually results on the first note corresponding to the 1st string not sounding at all because i messed up my fingers Any hint or tip on how to avoid this?, thank you very much in advance! [EDIT] Attach you a sample i recorded now, not sure if its clearly noticeable there... Hi Pin, and welcome to GMC! The trick is to palm mute the strings that you don't want to ring out - as you are ascending, move your palm downwards, deadening each string as you move to the next one.
