Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Metal For Rockers! by Adrian Figallo

Ben, I added the missing note you mentioned, and concentrated on letting the non-muted chords ring. Thanks to your help and help I'm getting from Cosmin, I'm hearing things I couldn't hear before.

Hello there my friend smile.gif Thanks for the nice thoughts!

This is much better! It's tighter and the timing is better than before. The only part where I can hear there is room for improvement, would be the middle part, where you are still missing some notes because of the speed. Slow the middle part down, play ti perfectly at half the speed and then increase everything to the original tempo smile.gif

C'mon, let's get the 10 wink.gif

Cosmin

Hi mate! this take is better than the previous one! It's great to see your evolution being that fast. As Cosmin said, there is some room to improve but now you are closer to 10. Keep on the hard work!

You're getting there, man. Notice that you're not quite hitting the 3rd note in the opening riff (is it the 5th fret ?). It's getting lost. Either it's because you're not fretting it long enough or it's because your pick isn't hitting the string properly. Either way, that note is getting lost.

As Cosmin said, you're still missing some open E notes on the middle section from 0:40 onwards, generally before you play the G power chord.

I hope that helps isolate the last little problem areas for you smile.gif
