You know I live in Turkey and as far I know we have the worst rate's on traffic, basically everyday I go through something like that.

Yeah those idiots will eventually get themselves killed, I'm only upset for the fact that usually they take an innocent with them.

This is why I always leave a margin for error when driving, especially when on bike. Polish traffic law is quite strict but there are still idiots like this (9/10 times I catch up with them at the traffic lights if I go the same way).

In big cities it sometimes happens that someone overtakes you, switches back to your lane and floors the brake pedal and unless you have a camera to prove your words, the police blame it on you and you pay the compensation... I'm really happy I live in a small town.

I'm glad you're okay!

Thanks folks,

If I'd been going straight on, I would have put my foot down a bit more and he would have taken my front end off, PRICK!

Cheers

Yeah, that's an everyday occurrence here in La La land.
My current vehicle has side warning lights (and a 'chime') in the mirrors and I have it set to "early warning".

L.A. Traffic is a bit like DEATH RACE 3000.

That's when it's moving of course. Which is doesn't do during Rush Hour. It just stops and stays that way for days it seems. I"ve dealt with Atlanta Traffic which I thought was bad until I longed for death on "THE 405" (All of the Highways are called "THE" in L.A. for some reason) after my air conditioner went dead and the rental car overheated after sitting in one spot for THREE HOURS.

I've not been to Poland but it looks like they import drivers from L.A. smile.gif

It doesn't look as dramatic on the small screen, if you play it full screen it looks a bit more like the real thing. The screech from his tyres was like being at a race track when the BTCC cars are going round. He must have disabled his anti lock brakes. The traffic was bunching which is why I was dawdling along. I don't know how he found space to get up to that speed. I don't want to sound like I drive Miss Daisy, I don't, I've got 325bhp under my right foot but, there's a time and a place and that ain't it.

I could smell the burning rubber in my car for a quite some time afterwards. sad.gif

In Atlanta we have some of the worst traffic in the country. It's truly awful. With that we get some of the most insane and angry drivers you've ever seen. People who were hungry and tired when they left work, and then after an hour and a half in stop and go traffic, have just lost their minds and are acting on instinct like a junk yard dog. These folks will go all "road rage" on any poor soul at any time for any reason. I used to see it every day on commute. If that video above would have happened here at rush hour, it would be a video of two guys fighting for the same spot in the same lane and crashing in to each other smile.gif
Here is a guy from here who keeps a car cam going all the time and he's caught wads of folks doing silly crap. Here is VOLUME 12!

I barely avoided a major crash today. Some young dude tried overtaking me during rush hour, with opposite lane occupied, and as soon as he did (he almost crashed into another car on the opposite lane!) and got back to our lane, he floored his brakes and went down from 90kph to about 5kph. I had a hunch to drop speed as he forced his way and right I was! He was trying to force me to bump into his back and continued to drive at 10kph for another kilometer to provoke me, i think,, until he realized I was a few car lengths behind him. Also, he kept waving his finger to me before he turned left. He looked like a regular football psycho fan and I felt like he was drunk or on drugs, judging by his body twitching.

This kind of drivers cause others to die in accident while they survive paralyzed. My cousin's friend killed his girlfriend on a motorbike, driving 130kph in a 40kph zone on bumpy and curvy road. He's paralyzed and regretted for some time but now he's back to his old reckless self. He can't drive now, though.
