Criticism encouraged
 I want to improve.Two new metal jams ive been working on (Theyre only about 2 and a half minutesas of yet)... -Guitars and bass through POD X3 Live, EZDrummer, and working on keyboard parts with Absynth 5 and my nanokey. The first one doesnt follow much of a pattern The second one doesnt yet have complete drums, but I thought Id post it anyway Thanks in advance! -------------------- My Website

Brutal! Very tight and nice played! I can tell that You have been putting some effort in the drum programming - which I like a lot. Otherwise, there's nothing really to say. It sounds great in my ears. Maybe could the backing during the guitar solo in the first song be a little lower and the lead a little more in front. I'm not really an expert at this kind of music, but it sounds just right to me in theis genre. Very well done!!

Wow man this is impressive! Really great songs, I like the riffing a lot!
Recording and mix is interesting, possibly the mix/production could be more open (brighter) and wider in stereo. Really amazing work and guitars sound very powerful. Keep up the good work.

Would this interfere with other equalizers that most people will be using (eg, iTunes)? And what do you mean when you say wider in stereo? I have all my intruments that are double tracked at 71% left 71% right at the moment. Does in need to be higher or lower in pan? Thanks in advance man! Nice playing and generally a nice recording but just couple of things that you might want to look at/consider .On the recording I'd agree with Bogdan that the recording to me also sounds like it lacks stereo width and depth. It sits quite narrowly between the speakers and lacks 3 dimensionality. You might want to look at how you pan and adjust for the panning rules and you also might want to consider how you place instruments in the field not just for width but also for depth front to back. The other thing I'd also add is that the format shift to mp3, to me, has ended up with a clipped file where much of it is taken in to the red and distorts unintentionally. This is despite what sounds like the use of a limiter and brickwall limiter on the track. If you wnat to avoid distortion in the mp3 you would need to redo the audio so that it peaks much lower than if you burn a wave for CDA. -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer.
