I have been here for about a week now. I already love this place. The lessons here are very well put together, and there is something for everyone at every level.
I go by Ike, though my real name is Isaac. I live in a tiny town in NH, USA. I got my first guitar 40 years ago after seeing a local band at a local fair, playing Hang On Sloopy. I knew I was hooked then and there.
I played in garage bands for many years, and began playing gigs in the late 70's.
I quit playing all together in 86 to concentrate on a venture into contract house painting.
After 30 years of breaking my back, (and still not having any real money), I came to realize I need the music in my life.
So, I picked up some gear and took it up again about 3 years ago, and this time decided to learn some theory and some more serious lead playing. I took a few months of one on one lessons, browsed the web for free info, and have joined a half a dozen lesson sites. I have come a long way, and have recently re-started a band,(which coincidently includes the drummer I jammed with in 6th grade, 1966).
Anyhow, Let me end my ramblings with my sincere belief that we are all at the very best lesson site on the WWW.
