With all of pavel's talk of seven strings, it made me want one. so i traded in my jackson king v for a Washburn WG-587. Retail price $989. my price used in mint condition $300. its a discontinued model, so its worth even more! no pics yet, so google it. cool.gif

Dean RC-7 Rusty Cooley Signature. The list price was 3200$ and the guitar is in pre-order stage. None of them are produced for now so that's why i was able to get it for 1900$. They are in production now and i am getting one of the first RC-7 ever produced!

Are 7 strings meant to be better than 6 strings? Whats the use in them like what are the advantages of having a 7 string guitar?

Its do funny you should say that! Lately Rusty has become my new #1 (other then you that is wink.gif). I was checking out his signature guitar, and wanted to ask you about it. The fact that you ordered it, tells me pretty much all I need to know. But just for completeness sake, what exactly did you like about it? My only complaint about it is the graphics. I'm not big on that kind of flash. I like clean looking guitars.

7-string has a wider range of notes, it's also very comfortable for long shred runs as you can play a 3 octaves run without moving out of a scale box. It's really great for playing heavy music without tuning down the guitar to some drop D or drop C. You have a B tuning without even tuning a guitar.

It has a huge cutaway for very high frets access - that's what attracts me most! Than comes a thin neck, Floyd Rose. I like the finish of it - it's not the best but it sure looks wild!! And i am a big fan of sharp looking guitars. Ibanez design is one of the best in the world but they don't work on playability for high access. For me it's very important to have big access. So, that's why i am getting this one!
