André Olbrich. Though I'm not sure if he counts as power metal guitarist, for his playing and songwriting style is very diferent from all the others on the list, but Blind Guardian is sometimes considered a power metal band, so why not include him here.
Also, I think we should add Henjo Richter, since he does most of the solos in Gamma Ray.

Good two additions! Thanks! I consider BG power metal, one of the pioneers of that style.

I don't know, they've always had a rather distinctive style, so I think they're hard to fit just one genre. In the early days they were speed metal, and nowdays they've become lot more progressive than most power metal bands.

You Named it all already! Power metal is more of "Team Sport" so it doesn't have that amount of guitar heroism, like perhaps in other styles like progressive or thrash metal...

Syu who played with Galneryus

EDIT: I just saw now, that you wrote "most influential" (maybe Syu is not amongst them?)

Yeah we could... but does he still plays Power Metal? Or he's with Ozzy on full contract now..

I would add

Manni Schmidt (Grave Digger)
Victor Smolski ( this guy holds Rage on his back)

and to me best guitar duo in metal Jon Drenning and Ben Jackson (Crimson Glory)

Great additions! I didn't know that Jani left Sonata Artica... wasn't he their principal composer?
