This is probably my 20th take. I was feeling good about while I was playing it, then I flubbed the last few notes. Naturally, I went apeshit and made the ending a little special. My sincerest apologies. I was going to use other takes but this one really was the best.

Man, I feel your pain. Straight from the Ben Higgins School of Hissy Fits! At least you didn't throw anything.. or did that happen off screen?

Just two things stand out as needing work:

-Timing: You're often starting ahead of the beat on these phrases and some of the trickier phrases are out of time, like at 0:50. You can play them, they're just happening at a different time to Sinisa.

-Bending pitch: Pretty self explanatory here.. nothing too outrageous but try to watch them veering off into flat or sharp territory

Hi Mudbone,

This is on the right track and the two main things to fix have been already noted by Ben. I think that the next step with this lesson is to start working on details, and focusing on smaller sections, mostly on each lick to play it with more precision. When playing the whole thing is difficult to focus on details so please work on small parts and then connect them.

hey there!
No worries - you're not alone on this - it happens quite often to feel that things are going so well, that it has to be the best take...and then...you go out of focus and mess something near the end Typical situation...someday you'll get used to "not think" of this while playing.


First of all...I would highly suggest to go down with gain a bit. I think there is too much noise (Iknow partially from camera's compression) and unwanted strings attack your "safety" notes everytime they find a chance. What I mean by that is to create more distance between noise and sustaining notes by increasing pikcing strength and decreasing gain. It will help to avoid a lot of unwanted mess under those notes we want to be heard

PArt of the problem might be your basic musce to execute picking is hidden in your thumbs and index fingers while the wrist looks like frozen in one place. It's worth to engage the wrist and use thumbc+index as a support instead of standalone mechanism. Involve your left hand into strings muting and you'll be able to unglue your right fingers from the bridge
