I was just listening to your track Mojo Oro and was wondering if you incorporated a bit of your country's folk music in the instrumental? Because it has that eastern european feel to it.

I was inspired by,of course.
But mostly there are Macedonian grooves inside, like 7/8 per example,
plus I added 5/4 AND 4/4 to keep it straight a bit. wink.gif

Bosnian folk music is more like "blues",
not too much rhythm but nice melodies and harmonies, something like that.
It's called SEVDAH by the way. smile.gif

Ah thats interesting. I didn't realise Bosian music was less rhythmical I thought it would have more exotic time signitures like 7/8 and 5/4 as you said.

So is Bosian music based on any particular scale or mode to give it its 'colour'?

Maybe I pointed it wrong a bit.
There are MANY rhythmical grooves in our folk music,
what I meant is that our TRADITIONAL music is maybe
a less rhythmical and with more "soul",sort of.
Folk music is what people want(mostly today) and traditional music is something else. smile.gif
