Does anyone have experience with Ibanez ART guitars, with active pickups?
Comes at a good price imo. I was browsing for the ESP models, singlecut and also the Viper with EMG 81/60 but it's conciderably more expensive. Anyone with experience with the ART? Comment on the 81/60 model aswell if you like, I havn't played an ESP with those pickups (well, I have but not through an amp, just acoustic braindead noodling). Never even touched an ART. I'm aware ESP stands for quality, question is if it's worth the extra 1000€ ... -------------------- My bands homepage

I suppose EMG's is what I'd like so if the Ibanez actives don't reach up to their level it's not for me.
I went to the shop and played the ART500 (acousticly) and it responds ok, I also sat down with an ARG and that one had way better acoustic sound (reveals how it will sound plugged in) Also felt a Schecter Tempest but that wasn't for me, had too small fretboard radius. What I will do. I'm getting a set of EMG81/85 and put in my Epi Les Paul . -------------------- My bands homepage
