Been working with POSITIVE GRID BIAS (for ipad/ipod/iphone/etc. available in the app store) and the deeper I get the more amazed I am. This thing has more tweakable controls than I've ever dream possible. Pre and post eq for preamp stage is a nice touch. Being able to swap out the kind of power/distortion tubes, how much bias the tubes have, four separate gain stages with tons of controls, etc. etc. etc.
it's almost daunting. But the good news is, you can start with a preset and go from there. Also, once you like the amp you've built, just tap on the JAM UP Icon in the top right and the amp you just built gets incorporated in to POSITIVE GRID JAM UP PRO so you can use it with fx and other bits. It's sort of like an AXE FX stuffed in to an iPad. I know this will ruffle the feathers of some axe fx owners, but the power and flexibility of these two little apps is just staggering. Not to mention the sound quality is amazing. It's good enough to use live or for recording. Jam Up Pro was really close, but now that this type of control over the amps is possible, it really can compete with anything i"ve heard or tried. Here is a vid.
