GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Weird Dreams

Come on! Everybody has weird dreams! So post yours here that you deem weird. I'll go first. biggrin.gif

Have you ever had those dreams where you are trying to do something, like run up a hill and it keeps getting higher and higher? It's frustrating, but I can never control it because I'm not aware that I'm dreaming. Therefore, I can't change it.

However, I recently dreamed that I was in a car with a friend. I think he was dropping me off at my car, but he passed it in this parking lot. He apparently could only go straight. I said, "Hey, you passed it!" He said he couldn't go back. I said, "Yes you can, just back up!" "No, you can't back up." I then realized, wait a minute, this is a dream. every car has a reverse.

I exclaimed, "This is a dream!! I don't know why you people always tell me in dreams that we can't go backwards anywhere!!" I grabbed the gearshift between us, and said, "Here let me show you!" I put it in reverse and somehow gained control over the car, because I backed up to my car myself - while he was still on the driver's side, and I in the passenger seat. He looked defeated, as if he failed his duty in distorting my dream. laugh.gif

Weird, but funny! One of the first times I realized that I was dreaming and could do something about it.
I have more, but I'll let you guys go first. wink.gif

I remember these 2 dream when I was younger.

I had won in lottery and I imagined all the good stuff I could buy. And slowly I woke up and realized it was only dream.

For some reason I started to break all the stuff in my room. Smashed the TV and broke everything. Then I thought how stupid I was until I realized it was a dream.

And quite often I dream some serious crazy things and kinda freak out from the dream. Human mind and dreams are weird huh.gif

I don't remember my dreams that often, but the craziest (spookiest?) dream I had was a classic: I woke up in an airplane all alone. I didn't even know how I got there. The cockpit was empty as well, and in the distance I could see a small island.
Yes, this dream occured before "Lost" started and even before I read Stephen King's "Langoliers". smile.gif

Down deep inside a bomb shelter, I was awoken by a young girl tugging on my leg.

The woman and girls where all crying, everyone covered in dirt and some in blood stains.

The men where busy yelling order and building up barricades.

I noticed the only entrance was a very long tunnel walkway in with seperated sections of barricades and walls, each with one person locked within to man.

As soon as you turn 13, you become a man and to do his duty. Each man also got a weapon of choice.

It was my turn to get locked in the last barricade section... I picked a chainsaw.

Screams rose out through the night, gunfire and scratching and banging down the entrance.

I survived the following day to find most of the barricaded sections where destroyed in front of me and body/remains slaughtered from the people that where within.

We went out during the day into what was a wasteland, like a nuclear fallout, finding a few dead rotting cows to bring back as food.

The next night we where moved up replacing all the spots before us that didn't make it. I was now only 4th from the surface, locked in another makeshift barricaded section.

I then realised what was attacking as the sections infront of me started to fail and I could hear an AK47 gun blasting away and then see the wall start to break and the guy in front setting off a flamethrower.

It was ZOMBIES attacking! Just like the movie, '28 days later', these zombies where on the rage virus and fast. Breaking down the wall even while still on fire and grabbing the guy ripping him from limb to limb. They ended up dieing but thousands more behind them. I attempted to start up the chainsaw and took a few out before they grabbed me.

I woke up, it was just a dream... looked around and relaxed lieing back on the bed.

Just like the beginning of the dream, something grabbed and started tugging my leg... this time it wasn't just a little girl! A zombie hand grabbed me and dragged me under the bed.

I woke up again!
(my first double dream and it was freaky)

Dreams are the R.E.M state of your mind unwinding, so normally affected by what's on your mind at the time. I love zombie movies (28 days laters, Resident Evil, etc) and games (Left 4 Dead 2, Fallout 3, etc). Was watching a horror movie at midnight and eating I believe before bed.

Man, I love horrors, specially as a kid biggrin.gif

jJAJAj talking about this! xDD this last night I had a very weird dream.

I was at home with my family in the living room watching TV and i had a sort of cutting and burning machine. In the dream I thought that if i was able to cut my thomb finger and burn it with the machine i would be able to "TAKE THE PICK TIGHTER AND BETTER AND PLAY SUPER-FAST WITHOUT EVEN PRACTICING as if the thomb finger was an impediment for playing guitar as a pro hahahah
when i did it i finally kept all the dream wondering why i had burned it, because i wanted it back as it didnt work for guitar! xDDD

Was up late last night watching 'Wrong Turn 2: Deadend' on tv, never stop watching them, quite enjoyed it.
No dream this time though, that I can remember.

I don't know if to be honored or creeped out by your dream of me, Brandon. laugh.gif

Yeah, I guess I look a bit older than that profile pic now, it's a few years old.
No red hair sorry to disappoint, still blonde / light brown, but slighty shorter and less messy at least.

Weird dream I had recently, I woke up inside a plane and everything appeared normal. After looking around I realized nobody had a face; no eyes, no mouth, no nose, no anything. And once they realized that I realized this, everyone stood up and began walking at me like the nurses from Silent Hill. The closer they got, their flesh actually started to peel off, I flipped out naturally and jumped out of the plane. I parachuted to safety and was knocked unconscious by the fall. I wake up to a man helping me up, and when I go to thank him, I realize he too, has no face.

Then I wake up.

I thought of a friend who had a weird dream. (He's not into guitar, so he would never be able to post) He once had a dream that his veins were floating above his arms! And as he would curl his fingers, the veins would curl with them. Weird dream I'd say! He told me this a few years ago.

When I was a kid I had this strange dream of being chased under water.
I remember it still because it was one of those dreams I had more than once.

Standing on the bottom of the ocean or some kind of water tank.
There was a big glass wall with a door in it in front of me.
The wall had to be around 10x10m and did not go to the surface.
Now that was no big problem if it hadn't been for the huge shark in the water.
Every time it swam around or over the wall, I'd just simply walk through the door.
So I was quite safe... ...untill I realized I needed to breath at some point.

As I remember I always woke up before anything really bad happened.

I tried to look up somewhere what it could mean to me.
Having trouble breathing in dreams, could mean that I didn't have time for all I wanted.
But I wasn't a stressed kid at all, so I don't know.

I don't know if this help or not, but dreams sometimes have underlining messages, specially if reoccuring...

@The Uncreator - I heard that no faces normally means confusion of the person or people's identity and you should look closer at their actions.

Dreaming of a parachute can mean that you have other options you haven't really consisted yet.

@Ulrik - Being trapped underwater means your'll trying to figure out what you want to achieve in life. Your'll looking at something in a deep emotional sense.

The shark (or big fish) is something holding you back from that goal.

If you saw an archor, your tied up with family matters holding you back from your dream.

If you saw a octopus, your emotional entanglement by something holding you back from your career.

If you have super powers, you think you can achieve the goal.

"Weird dreams"? Are there dreams that are not weird! biggrin.gif

I recently dreamed that cat jumped on my DVDs collection, and I started roaring at her! I woke up immediately and realized that I really did ROAR! haha! smile.gif

lmao @ Vasilije!

Reminds me of my dog sleeping on his back, belly up, then whimpering lightly and starts running his legs while still asleep!
He barked and woke up soon after. Dreaming of chasing that darn next door neighbours cat, I bet!
