I have come across a Gibson Les paul Special, a friend of mine he wants 750 dollars for it with gigbag.
I am not sure about this modell.
I did a search on the net for it and this is what I get.

490R alnico magnet humbucker at the neck
498T alnico magnet humbucker at the bridge
Mahogany body
1960 slim tapered neck
Rosewood 22-fret fingerboard
Chrome hardware

serial 01324551

2004 May 11th
Nashville, Tennessee

551th made

It feels and playes very good. but I wonder if it is worth the money..

I am not shure about the pickups, have seen other versions also off this Gibson.
Did a search on the serial but could get all the info just where its made.
It got a very good sustain compare to my Jacksson with Floyd copy.

The price is 500 dollars, not 700 calculated the dollars and swedish kr wrong..

It's a great guitar and a good price too, they are like better version of Gibson Les Paul Studio guitars. If there is nothing wrong (damage, etc...) with this guitar then GO FOR IT!

Ahh c'mon man! tongue.gif
Not every guitar needs a pickup change right away! These pickups are also built into the custom shop Les Pauls and they cover a lot of styles while sounding good!

(I will glady help out if you want something diffrent^^)

Discussion doesn't imply replacement. I fully expected at least one guy (you) to at least talk about either (a) why to replace them or (cool.gif why not to replace them.

I always find those to be an interesting read, so it's really not meant as a criticism or any kind of jab.

Looks like a good deal to me smile.gif

But, is that paint job and knobs original? Probably just the lightning, but picture 4 seems a bit odd to me.
And i thought the black LP Specials had black knobs.

Thanks for all the advice guys.
The only thing is that it is a little backheavy (I most sitt and play)got to stand and play more.
But it has some very good sustain.
And yes Trond I also see that the knobs are gold colored on this one,the finish is ok ,think it is my camera light who did it, it is matt black.

Yea, looks like the cam gave it an odd shine smile.gif

Les Pauls are definetly more backheavy than the average guitar. Took me some time to get used to my LP, but after a while i can guarantee that it wont be much of a problem.
