I stumbled over this today, haven't seen it before. A guy made a cool movie with CGI-fx.
Amazing what you can do with some skils and dedication.
The story behind it: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php...ight=big+robots

The video on youtube:

There is also follow up success stories to google for.

Thats a relay good video, i have seen it somewhere else before...

Its realy good work, the camera matching to the CGI is flawless.

Only thing i dont like is a "problem" most CGI composed movies share: The very much shaking camera. Its a post production effect that should emphase that the CGI is not CGI but part of reality... smile.gif If the CGI stuff shakes the same way the real video does it looks like one piece. But most people just add too much shaking. It looks like filmed by a drunk guy walking backwards while falling down some stairs. wink.gif

But i like this video smile.gif Its well made smile.gif

Wear, wear are they? wink.gif

Funny how the guy in the car decided noticed the intruders so late and that he'd then decided he be faster on his feet than turning his car around laugh.gif

That aside yeah, what a great movied. I enjoyed it a lot.

P.S The flying ships always flew faster than the robots, never circled back but stillnot getting ahead of the robots. Strange alien physics at work I assume biggrin.gif

True. The shaking is overdone in many movies :/

Haha my thought exactly (the running from car thing)
There is alot we don't know about alien physics, it's got something to do with the greenhouse-time collapse.
