Alt Picking From Elbow :(

When I get up to 110-130 bpm, I started realising that I have to start moving my elbow to get it going I have heard that this is the wrong technique and I dont know how to get rid of it! Its like my arm is programmed to use the elbow when i get to higher speeds. Jul 5 2007, 01:04 AM	GMC:er Posts: 2.361 Joined: 27-April 07 From: London,ont	Just practice at the lower speeds alot with your wrist.. when you move up conciously tell yourself you must play with your wrist and not your arm, of course it depends what notes your doing at 130pbm if you doing quarter notes then you will be going pritty fast and as Kris said sometimes its acceptable to use the whole arm, but only if your really flying, theres really no need.
