You will not believe it but i was thinking about buying JEM with that Flower finish when i was in guitar-store. It was like: "Should i take this one or the white one?!?!"

As long as it is JEM7 - IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! Congrats on that shred machine!!

Btw. this summer i will enlarge my guitar family with another Steve Vai sig. member! UNIVERSE - 7-string!

Well when we're already bragging about our Jem's just last week I also bought the Jem I always wanted for 15 years!!!!

the BFP!!! IMHO the most beautiful Jem ever!!!

But as a compensation the last 10 years I have been playing with the most ugly (actually 2nd most ugly) Universe (UV 7 BK - Green&Black)

Are you planning to sell your UV??? biggrin.gif I would love to have the black/green one. But as i can't buy a new one that is black/green i'll have to go for the latest model.

Damn Pavel you must be rolling in the money to afford all those guitars

Do you believe that I actually grew fond of the Black/Green UV and to be honest I like that one more than the new model.
The only reason I complained was that the Jems were really so beautiful/extravagant guitars whereas the UVs were always very basic (aside from the MC). Originally I wanted the white one but that one was also sold out in 96.
I was only able to get the Gr/Bl one which was my 3rd choice from all 4 existing models.

But to be honest today's Jem's and UVs have lost their looks IMO...

Wrong! smile.gif

I have shitty amp - 50W Valvestate Marshall. It's ok for room practice but not for gigs or rehearsals.

And for guitars - my first guitar was RG 370 DX - it was $320.

Then i sold it to a friend of mine, worked the whole year and bought JEM7. So i only have 1 guitar now. And also - as i am working here at GMC now i am happy i'llbe able to buy myself a new guitar by the end of the summer (hopefully). I want to start mastering 7-string and now i think it will come true soon.

And don't worry - i am not rich. I work hard to get what i want, i only live with my mother, parents are devorsed and i am not the kind of person to ask my parents for money for guitars and equipment.
Btw. the first 2 months i worked at GMC - i spent all the money to get a new PC - now all those lessons you get render much faster and i can work faster. So my plans are to get that UV by the end of the summer and then spend the whole year to collect money for a MesaBoogie amp or something like that.

This is actually the first year i have my own money and can start getting things myself. It's a great feeling. I mean i worked some dayjobs before - low payment and i couldn't buy anything expensive. Now i can plan to get a guitar. Thanks to GMC.

There are loads of people rolling in money out there but they never get that feeling of "Hey, dad, i earned it myself!!" It's such an awesome feeling! Or: "Hey, dad, can you take me to guitar-center in Italy? I am buying that 2000$ guitar i dreamed about!"

And also those who have expensive equipment from start think they will play better if they start with JEM's or Deans most expensive models - than they never put that effort regular guys do to achieve something!

Oops, sorry i have written too much! smile.gif unsure.gif

Yeah Pavel I know what you mean. My first guitar was an Ibanez EX 370 (it was 800.-DM ~300$US). Actually my father wanted to give me a cheaper guitar but the vendor convinced him that if I stopped playing at least he could sell that guitar instead of having a cheaper one only collect dust ;-).

My parents would never have bought me a >1000.-US$ guitar and yes finally earning the money yourself is a great feeling. The only downside is that now I have a good paying IT job and buying a great guitar is in my reach, but I almost have no time to play anymore sad.gif
