Original lesson: John Mayer Crossroads Licks by Gabriel Leopardi

Hey guys, been working a bit on this great lesson from Gabriel. I'm not really a huge student of SRV or John Mayer's music but I am a big fan. I know there is some sloppiness here. Like where I don't really strum through the sixths towards the end and miss the high E string. I don't think I even place the two notes of the ending A properly. I'm sure there's more but thanks for listening and checking it out.

Hi folks,

I've been just swamped since my last REC take and haven't had a moment to put this together. I wanted to do a video and show the intonation on my LIII. I had to figure out how to display myself playing the guitar while also showing a tuner. I think I got it with Streamlabs and this free online chromatic tuner which seems pretty decent. I just show the E and B strings but all strings are approximately the same, getting me in the "green" zone. I am trying to use as little pressure as possible while still striking a clean note. The action came painted on with this guitar from the factory. It is very low. If this looks good, could it just be I am pushing notes out with pressure and just need to use my ear more? Again, thanks for all the input. I wanted to get a video of this prior to attempting another REC of the track, so nobody feels gaslit, lol.

Original lesson: Neoclassical Solo For Beginners by Emir Hot

Another take, trying to clean things up a bit. (there is a take 2 that I did not submit, so this is technically take 3. wink.gif

I checked my intonation and things seem in order. I think it could have possibly been my playing in the first take. I hope it seems better.

I feel it's a bit messy in some spots, I plan to do another cleaner take. The F# ascending run may still be a bit off. Still trying to get comfortable with the vibrato. I am starting to feel a bit more natural with it. I am tepid with how wide I apply it in fear of breaking pitch.

My vibrato is just pretty bad so I have been kind of using this lesson to work on it. I need to get better at striking the note clean before applying it. My timing is a bit off on the ascending run in F# (miss a rest) and I think some of the vibrato notes may oscillate out of pitch, sorry. Thanks for listening.
