Alternate picking - Upstroke Focus

Today we will have a look at an excellent exercise topic from Muris. The whole point with this lesson is to avoid falling one of the most common guitarist pitfall - constantly playing the runs you master the same way.

Muris emphasises starting speed runs with both up- and downstrokes, thereby preparing yourself for all the situations you will encounter in an improvised solo, as an example.

Once you got the actual picking concept down - this kind of exercises is what will give you freedom to fly. Enjoy! biggrin.gif
