GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Old Piano Song

Posted by: Mertay Apr 29 2014, 10:04 PM

Found something I composed many many years ago smile.gif

https://soundcloud.com/gitarg-nl-kleri/benmp

it was composed using an ancient version of sibelius (terrible midi sound) but the midi export was a bit problematic, still listenable I guess.

Awesome! I like this mate. It sounds like the soundtrack of a film when it's going to happen something really dangerous. It's pure tension and a bit of fear.

Do you usually compose piano songs?

Thanks smile.gif no actually not for a long time but I think I started to miss it although I hate playing piano smile.gif

Although I entered school with guitar, the classical music education was all on the piano (composition, harmony, sing and playing solfege...) so learning to play was very intense as I had to be quick to catch up with other students or lessons.

Most annoying part was not being able to play what I was hearing in my head so I always composed with Sibelius and later played it slowly to see if its actually playable smile.gif this song for example is really hard to play biggrin.gif

yeah, it's very tricky! I first listened to the track (without reading your post) and I was ready for a piano song played by a guitarist (something simple) but when it started I said.. wou, this guys is an awesome pianist! biggrin.gif
