GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Weight Loss

Posted by: superize Nov 5 2012, 07:48 AM

I have managed to loose 30 kg in 6 months thanks to more training and less eating.

I have really changed my life during theese 6 months.

Instead of eating candy and drinking sodas in the evenings i eat fruit and drink water.

Instead of sitting on my ass all days i am outside excercicing(that also includes playing guitar).

I always think about what i eat and when i eat it.

Thanks to theese litle changes i have gotten my life back and i feel better then i have ever felt. even after a hard day at work i still have energy left.

Her are before and after fotos.

30 kg is an amazing weight loss. Well done, and great to be approaching it in a sensible and sustainable way.

What is your new forum name going to be?
you know you'll have to change it now!!!

Amazing! You might just have prolonged your life with ~40 years (that's quite a bit of practicing time by the way!!)

I cannot image how cool this must feel. Well done!

I am so impressed, man.. well done ! This goes to show that if you really want to do something, you can do it ! smile.gif

So, if there's any of you GMCers that keep saying about how they wish their legato/picking/phrasing was better or something, there's no excuses now ! wink.gif

This should be an inspiration to everyone here !

You have done well. The real key to staying in shape is exercise, all the rest falls into place if you get good exercise, at least say a half hour at a good level of intensity. My rule is to try and exercise like that every day, but never miss more than one day between exercise routines. It is really hard to keep in shape by diet. Food is just too much of a draw.

It is important not to take breaks. Your brain gets wired if you are regular so that it becomes less of a chore to get yourself motivated. That is just a matter of neuro transmitters keeping at a certain level in your brain. If you take breaks that changes, after missing 2 days it becomes much easier to miss a week, and then a month.

Most people after 40 just go all to hell, if not earlier. And the quality of their lives suffers because of it, they are less happy, and incapable of enjoying a lot of activities lacking the energy and strength to participate. Best to get on track when you are young, and keep it up as you get older.

Thank you guys for your kind words. It has really been a great journey for me and it seems like time has flown by to fast.

The only thing i regret is that i dident start sooner. Seeing now how easy it was for me to loose the weight.

I really feel that i have gotten my life back. I feel awsome and got so much energy.

I plan to loose more weight but not sure how much. My current goal is to get under 100 kg. So i got about 12.5 kg left untill that.
