Metal Essentials - Riffs #3, Lesson By Darius Wave |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Tuning issues here are not as bad - but still does not feel right. Please see your other REC take for more comments: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=61007
Your technique looks relaxed and in control. For this kind of music tightness is everything - and you could def step up a level here. Especially the fast section we can hear your notes are not "glued" to the drums as they should be. Because of the tuning it is hard for me to truly enjoy your take, so I will give you a 5. However I do think your technique is very promising and you have potential to record a good take of this lesson. Keep up the hard work! |

Hi mate!
I think that Kris is right about tuning and precision issues. The slower sections are not bad (timing), but the fast section (starting at 00:32) is not sounding tight. I notice that your hands are relaxed but, once that you can play the parts tight, I would like to see more aggression in your picking, as the style requires. Keep on the hard work! -------------------- My lessons
