A little background informations:
I began playing guitar when I was 9 years old. In the beginning I had no teacher. I learned by watching instructional videos and looking for info on the Internet. When I was about 12 I took lessons for about 2 years with a private instructor, but I didn't learn that much.
Today I've been playing for almost 9 years and feel like I should be much better than I am. I think with proper guidance I can improve a lot faster.
Music that i like:
I like modern blues, rock, metal, progressive metal, experimental, old 70s and 80s rock, some jazza, and other genres.
Influences:
Guthrie Govan
Paul Gilbert
Steve Vai
Slash
Gary Moore
Zack Wylde

Jimmi Hendrix
Favourite songs:
Guthrie Govan - Wonderful Slippery Thing (Album Version)
Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover
Steve Vai - Tender Surrender
Jimmi Hendrix - Foxy Lady
Jimmi Hendrix - Purple Haze
Goals:
- Improve my Phrasing
- Follow chord changes when improvising
- Knowing how a note in the fretboard is going to sound before playing it (Ear Training)
- Learn to Transcribe Songs
- Build Chord Knowledge
- Become a good Improviser
Weaknesses:
- Fretboard knowledge
- Improvisation outside of a couple of boxes
- Being aware of the harmony in a song while improvising
- Timing (not too bad in common time signatures and moderate tempos)
