I Hate Postal Services (in Uk), was there ever a time?

May 22 2009, 02:49 PM	Learning Roadie Posts: 190 Joined: 12-April 09 From: UK	ok. i ordered a new laptop charger sunday for next day delivery so when i got home on friday i expect it to be here!!! it happens every time its not, now i have to use my house computer which sounds like a nucular reacter when i open more than 2 programs. was there ever a time when "next day delivery" was actually next day?? oh and whats it like for the rest of euorpe? I don't know about Europe, but where I live in Canada I am very isolated (next closest town is 575 km away over dirt road) and there is no such thing as "next day". Everything takes at least a week or 10 days, even if it says it will be there in less. I might as well live on Mars with how long it takes mail to get here LOL!!! More reputable companies and those where you pay a bit extra for next day special delivery, I've actually received at the crack of dawn the very next day. In the US, the Post Office is great with mail, max 3 days in my experience, from either LA or NY. Often 2 from there. And often one day if close by.
