Question for the instructor heading this up: Are the videos being posted what you expected from "intermediate players"?

yes, I`d say the video`s that are being posted are perfect and what I`d expect from intermediate players, imo "intermediate" covers a much wider band than beginners and advanced players, its going to be a really tough job to choose blink.gif

Here's my video.

I've been playing a while. And I've wanted to "get better" for a long time. But as many of you know, guitar is hard to get better at without putting in the time and effort. And I've been distracted by a lot of other things over the last several years.

But that was then and this is now. I came to GMC to get the instruction that I could use to take my playing to a level that I'd be proud of. The level it should be at for someone whose been playing all this time. I'm tired of banging out the same elementary chord progressions along with cds. I want to write my own riffs. I want to play other things besides the "easy stuff". I want to learn some lead. All around I want to get to the next level.

I recorded this with my Digitech GSP-1101. Direct to PC (EMU-1212m soundcard) Drums in rhythm clip are from Superior Drummer 2.0 I have a 2nd rhythm track in there too. I did play both. The lead clip is a backing track that came with the book.

Better late then never ^^

So, my name is Alex, and I've been playing electric guitar for about 9 months. I used to play acoustic for a couple of years before I started with electric, but that was just to learn the basics. I never really got into it..
But miracles do happen, and I got my electric for christmas ^^ And now I'm hoping to be picked for this MTP =)

My "short term" goals is to play less sloppy (watch the video and you'll see..), better scale understanding, improving my timing, getting better at tapping, improving rhythm, legato, sweep picking, alternate picking, improving my improvisation and last but not least; having a blast while learning which gives motivation ^^
I can't help but thinking that this would really give me a great push forward!

So, here's my take:
Attached File  MTP.wmv ( 1.75MB ) Number of downloads: 136

I also wanted to add a clip of Marcus Siepen's Pentatonic Solo and David's Classical Taps, but for some reason the video was twice as fast as the sound..
Also, I played Marcus Lavendell's Neoclassical Etude #1 faster then I could handle, so it's very sloppy... tongue.gif
