So, here it is. I decided to go ahead and submit it, even though there are problem spots. Also, I did not even realize I had the chorus setting on, until I mixed it with the video.

Hi Taylor. Your take is ok but sounds too rigid and without groove yet. It seems that you are so concentrated on playing each chord and note well so you forget to feel what you are playing. Keep on playing this one until you feel more familiar with the whole thing and then try to add more groove. There are some notes that are cut too soon, that makes that some section don't sound smooth enough.

You did a very good job! I like your take and you got all the notes right!
What it is still missing is being in the "pocket" and tight with drums and bass!
I can suggest to practice it at a slower tempo and it will be perfect in no time!

Hi Jon, nice take. You just about managed an 8. I nearly went 7 but you've generally got everything in the right place and it's only really a case of feeling the groove a bit more and it'll sound loads better.

The one area I noticed that needs attending to is you play in front of the beat a lot, so it's slightly rushed. This happens especially on the main, single note riffs. The chord changes are pretty good so if you can just tighten up this area of your playing it will make a noticeable improvement. Well done smile.gif

Hey Jon! Congrats for a technically correct take smile.gif now, as the guys stated, groove and feeling are what it takes for a 10 and for your step forward in your personal development wink.gif

Let's discuss a bit about grooving in your thread shall we?
