Metal Rhythm Lessons, what's your tuning?

These days a lot of people play in a lot of different tunings - from standard, thorugh a few different drops, to an 8 string guitars. I'm curios what is your tuning and due to this what tuning would be perfect for you while learning matel lessons. I think this question makes sense especialyl for beginner players and people who do not own multiple guitars with multiple different tunings. I have only one guitar (it's funny but I never wanted more guitars) and can be very, very, very annoying while learning a lesson to change the tuning every time when I want to play something else. Yet what I noticed is most don't buy a 7/8 string keep adjusting the truss, buying thick strings...I'm too old to understand youth I guess Nice that you are making the effort though, I've always felt gmc (actually the whole web) lacks a bit on powerchord training (or maybe I just didn't bump into them) You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. I think it's a good idea to refresh some rhythm lessons time to time But these days it seems to become harder to perfectly match the needs. I would really like to know how most of the students tune their guitars so the lessons would reach bigger amount of people without a need of total readjustment of the guitar. I have multiple guitars and know how to do a proper setup, but it's not worth the effort to switch it up all the time. Either of those tunings will teach you metal rhythm, if you want to play lower I feel like you can transfer that knowledge easily on your own to do covers or whatever. I personally don't understand Drop Z and 8 string guitars either, but that just means I'm getting older I guess. None of my metal guitar heroes needed low tunings and are plenty heavy. And I have a second guitar in Drop C. So, lessons in those tunings are best for me. I have a Digitech Drop pedal and I used that once on a baritone drop A lesson from Cosmin. So it seems to make sense doing lesson is standard or drop-D tuning. That's important information for my further work with lessons. Thanx for sharing your opinion yoncopin - same with me - all my heros play not lower than Eb or drop D. I do put some killer gauges time to time, adn tune one of my guitars to a different tuning but most of the time I prefer standard. Some song have great power because guitars are supported by the bass playing really really low and it overall creates feeling of being low but at the same time keeps separation between bass and guitars.
