Just thought I'd share something I've been working on. I quite like where it's going, hoping for some feedback.

I'm not sure biggrin.gif I'm such a theory slacker. There's more to it (more riffs) but I like to keep my uploads short because I haven't a singer or bass player and I'm recording without my drummer so I don't want it to get boring tongue.gif But you get the idea.

Very cool indeed smile.gif
The simple constant drum-beat is actually quite fitting, adds a bit of charm to it.

Well I usually just jam to simple drums like that. I think it fits though, listen to the drums in Jump in the Fire, gives it a very aggressive and straight forward feel IMO smile.gif

Drums sound like 'Rythm Rascal' to me, right? laugh.gif
The riff is nice, even without a proper backing track, I like it.

It reminds me of "promentory" from last of the mohicans for some reason. Don't ask me why!

What do you mean by overheads? Mics on the drums? If so these drums were made in rhythm rascal, just a basic kick-snare-kick-snare thing I looped. When I record it with my drummer it will be much better, fills, hi hat and all kinds of stuff I'm sure. Maybe it's because he's MY drummer, but I think he's pretty good tongue.gif

Oh, I get you smile.gif I think it could use some too. Just I started jamming without them and I'm too lazy to add them after the fact tongue.gif I'll record a longer version though.
