Hey guys! Welcome to my new Video Collaboration! Everybody is invited to record a solo over this cool metal backing track!!

This is a VIDEO COLLAB so you will have to post 3 things here:

1. A video of you playing the solo that you composed. (MP4)
2. An audio file that has the mix of your guitar and the backing track. (320 kbits MP3)
3. An audio file that only has your guitar to let me add it to the final mix. (320 kbits MP3)

The backing is in F#m, the tempo is 110 bpm, and you can start soloing at 00:11 to let the intro riff to divide takes.

Attached File  British_Metal_Collab_110_bpm.mp3 ( 1.17MB ) Number of downloads: 580

The deadline is December 5th.

Hi Dieter! Good first idea! I think that you could improve a bit more your composition with a few changes. You should switch some of the longer notes by notes that belong to the chord that is sounding at each moment. The solo should start at 00:11, and the progression is:

(F#m - D E - F#m - A E) x 2

Let's check what notes has each chord:

F#m (F# - A - C#)

D (D - F# - A)

E (E - G# - B )

F#m (F# - A - C#)

A (A - C# - E)

E (E - G# - B )

Do you think that you could try to do it? Maybe you can use guitar pro to be able to switch the notes...

yeah, now we are talking! the notes choice works better over the backing! this take would be even cooler if you try to play it tighter.

Hey mate! You are a hard worker! biggrin.gif This take also has a good selection of notes, the only thing that I would improve in this one is to avoid repeating the same phrase too many times... that F# - A (from the the root to the third) phrase, could change a bit the thirds time... what do you think?

Hey Gabriel !

Yes you are right must get tighter and a bit more talking biggrin.gif .

This Collab is right now the most difficult one for me ,

its a great backing and i like that rhythm style a lot but it`s hard to get in to it from the moment --00:11-- somehow ...

BUT this weekend i will take some more hours to get it better!

Dieter
