This is a an ascending E Minor Pentatonic Lick. It involves stepping down through 3 scale intervals from a higher note before repeating the process from a note which 1 scale tone higher than the previous starting note. Confused ?? Don't worry, when you start learning the pattern it will make sense.

I use a combination of hammer ons and picking to play these types of licks so alternate picking speed is not that important. It goes to show that you can play interesting, flashy licks without being Paul Gilbert or Yngwie ! Enjoy

Please please please excuse the sound quality on this one - practice amp, looper and cheap hand held recorder ... not to mention a creaky chair and the ever dreaded un-amplified string noise.
But man what a fun lick! LOVE that little 1/2 step bend after the double bent A's.
I turned it into a 24 bar tune (8 of intro, 16 of tune). Your lick comes in at bar 21.

Oh man oh man - that was cool !!

You really put some extra effort into this.. love the backing riff, not to mention the brilliant licks leading up to the challenge lick itself. And the creaky chair adds to the atmosphere
