Well as I said , you will have to first connect the pod to a computer using usb 2.0 cable.Than you will need to install a driver for pod (I guess you got a driver cd or something ? ) ..Next , if your pod is anyway similar to line6 toneport , it will enable you to use it as external soundcard via usb..Anyway in order to hear your playing through computer speakers you must connect the speakers to headphones or the other line out balanced jack on the pod itself..To record yourself install a Reaper or Riff Works (line6) and choose as the sound device - the pod x3..
hope this helps -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

Or go for the simple version and connect the outputs of your pod to the input of your soundcard, should do the job too.

Actually you can use the pos as your soundcard as well if you want to, then hook your soundcardp speakers to the pod instead of your old soundcard. Another option that I use it to have a mixer that gets the output of my compute and the output of my pod and feeds it to my monitor speakers. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

I agree with Marcus , you can connect output of pod to Line in of soundcard in your computer..That way you should be able to hear yourself playing and its the easies way to go..But keep in mind that you will have a little too much latency problems when recording..So when you want to record something connect it to PC via usb connection and that will do the job
