It's not much about 16th,32th or tempo.
Depends a lot of notes choice or lick. Some "slower" lick might be harder than "faster'. -------------------- Youtube

I fully agree with Muris though that the lick itself has a large part to play in the final velocity, but I'm just trying to break things into quantities. Sorry!! Ahh,I see Well,I guess easier thing to fire the fretboard is to take some wild legato+few fingers tapping. Haven't counted my top tho. -------------------- Youtube

you are incorrect with this 4 x 120 = 480 bpm 6 x 85 = 510 bpm. perhaps that was a typo. by convention the quarter note is the beat. if you don't follow conventions in any language (and this is a language) people have a hard time understanding you. Same old Fkalich Edit:ouch, here comes the answer This post has been edited by muris: Oct 16 2007, 04:37 AM -------------------- Youtube

The calculations are correct IMO, but I would call it notes per minute to avoid confusion ...
And to correct your typo, 6 x 85 = 510 notes per minute, not 51 (and I knew what you meant Tank!) EDIT: and Tank, you beat me to the punch with your correction! This post has been edited by Andrew Cockburn: Oct 16 2007, 04:42 AM -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Well I one finger type at about 30 words per hour - is that any good? In my defense they're long words, 2-3 syllables at least . I keep trying to type with the metronome but mine won't go below 40 bpm - or should that be wpm?
