Hey Guys, im sure there is a thread like that, but i cant find something for me right now, so i start another one!
i want to improve my next videos! im making videos with my digicam and thats why the sound isnt great. i like to buy a software to record my guitar on my computer! gitarrero showed me this one:

its only 100 euro together with a software. i hope someone else knows that stuff!
i can spend something about 160-180 euro for recording gear! what do you think about it? is there something i can buy? what do you think about the beringer vamp-3?
im a totally newbie on this stuff, thanks for every comment and tip!

I'd personally go for the Pandora PX4D and the right cables, which I think you could just get with your budget. Don't know how your sound card is etc, but I've recorded things on my mothers old lap top that sounded decent (check Joe Katoldo's Pure Steel Collaboration from some 1½ year back).
I've had the V-amp 2, and even though I had a friend who got some very good results out of it, I just didn't like it at all. It was all too...dry and plasticesque for my taste. But then again... might be that the V-amp 3 is completely different! Any chance they have it in a music store near you? You might be able to check it out then.

Well, I've tried to use to use the VOX-tonelab I won here at GMC the other day, it is in fact also a soundcard, which VOX don't mentions in their ads, funny though..... But this device sounds really good imo. and delivers a true tube sound for very little money....

If I were you I would go for some sort of external sound card like an mbox.. And use a program like Amplitube for recording... That is what I am using.. And it sounds great! Check out my sound on Ivan's classic rock collaboration..

Let me ask you a few question.
Do you just want an easy way to plug your guitar into the PC and use Modeling software for your guitar tone? If so then check this out!

Prices start around $80 US for the GX and $150 US for the UX1. Easy to use, sound pretty good and the price is great!
You will also need a DAW to record your tracks such as Reaper which works pretty well and is cheap ($50 US I think with a full feature free trial).

Really man, the best cheapest solution is to buy a Pod Studio GX, which comes with modeling software. Check my youtube videos, you can get that for 80 euros 
And since it's all USB, it's super fast (with ASSIO drivers) so what you play comes out of the speaker with almost no delay (latency)

First a question too: what is a DAW?
yeah, it would be great to recors my amp, because i love that tone, but it would be ok to use ampmodeling if that is much more cheap. most important thing to me is to make good videos for youtube, rec-programm and to make good audio-tracks for collab and stuff like that!

DAW = Digital Audio Workstation, eg. Cubase, Reaper, Pro-tools etc. The program You actually use for record the stuff.
I will also agree to Kaz here, POD will probably be the cheapest solution giving a decent sound, the VOX I suggested is about some 200 €, but its with a 12AX7 tube that really makes the sound warmer.... and it also has USB. Going for a decent sound-card with a good computer modelling amp is also an option but will be more expensive imo.

hm, that means DAW is differnet to modelling software? i thought i can record with the software from the POD foe example? that means i need both programms?

I edited my post above so go check out the links. Check out the POD Studio UX1. With this you can do both and the drivers / software are pretty good imho. I bought one when I joined GMC 3 years ago and haven't had an problems with it.
A DAW is short for Digital Audio Workstion. Just like you use video editing software to edit you videos a DAW let you just record and edit your audio. Then you can render the audio file out to something like an mp3. Then you add the mp3 audio along with your video, sync them together and BAM!! you have a quality REC submission.

If You like the sound of Your its probably better to put a mic in front of it, presumed that You can play at desired levels at home..... 
Then I would put the money on a good soundcard instead if You already don't own one.
I've tried numerous modellers, simulators etc. but nothing can't really beat a real amp - if miced properly of course.
One exception may be the one Muris recently bought, but I haven't got the opportunity to lay my filthy hands on such a one yet... 
But then we're talking bout some 2000 € ......

i ahve the reaper portable on my pc, can i work with that? i never really tried...

Not sure what Reaper Portable is. Do you just mean Reaper (DAW), and if so yes that is what you will use to record with. For example, lets say you decided to buy the POD Studio UX1. You would plug your guitar into that (UX1) then plug the UX1 via USB into your PC. Then you would open POD Farm (modeling software) which comes with it and pick the tone you want. Open Reaper and add a track, arm it to record and hit record when your ready.
Another way you could do it is record your amp's tone and bypass the modeling stuff. Plug your guitar into your amp, plug a MIC into the UX1, hang the MIC in front of your amp and record that in Reaper.

I use a Presonus Audiobox, which I really like because it's portable AND you can record vocals with it, it has phantom power and some very good preamps.
it's around that price,
