Ok, I have question regarding to Korg Pandora.... I don't seem to get enough gain from my Korg, without a distortion pedal, but you say that u only use the Korg PX4D and u get it to sound that good... And I seem to lack some sustain too, the notes don't ring that long and die a little too early, so is this because of the Korg, or my guess would be that my mics are useless, and I really need to buy a new guitar biggrin.gif

If anyone is able to help me, then please do, I just put this thread here, cause I know Muris uses a Pandora smile.gif

Cheers

Yeah, I plug Pandora straight into my audio card, that's all. smile.gif

Now,here are some setting I use recently a lot:
SGL>HUM 10.0
US HI-G : Gain 10.0, Bass 5.0, Middle 2.0 , Treble 9.0
JAZ 1x15 8.0
Modulation : FX OFF
PPDLY 3 5.3
PLATE 2 4.3
NR 8.3

Notice one thing,if you add per example chorus in modulation fx spot
you'll get kind of more gain cause each of effects brings more
power to output, they are all lined in serial setup.

So you might have problems with gain
if your pickups don't have enough high output
while lacking of sustain has to do with pickups and action as well,
if string action is too low then you're missing lot of sustain.
Noise Reduction also eats sustain if you set it too high
in order to kill noise caused by low-output pickups.

You mentioned mics,so you plug it into an amp?
I must say that Pandora isn't great deal
in combination with an amp.
First of all,it has one stereo output and when you plug it
into an amp with any cable (mono or stereo) you're
feeding your amp with just a half of sound from Pandora.
I suggest you to plug it straight into audio card,
using cable as I do,in 2 inputs,panned about 70% left and right. smile.gif

Thanks for the big help Muris smile.gif

There are just one problem, I can't adjust the action of my guitar,
since there are no system to raise or lower it sad.gif
I think that the problem lies in my pick-ups,
since my guitar really is a cheap copy of Fenders Strat...

I've plugged my PX5D straight to my computer via USB,
and I have two studio monitors plugged into output with one seperated cable...

One more question:
Does it make any difference which, program u use on Pandora,
when u modify the effects and such???

Cheers

Ahh,that is the problem,
not being able to adjust the action. huh.gif

And Fender stock pickups are surely
not the best deal to get lot of gain,
specially from fully digital unit like Pandora is.

Not sure if I got your last question right tho,
about effects and modification?

Yeah, does it make any difference which program I have selected, when I for example try the settings that you gave me on your earlier post??

Of course it does make difference,
try those settings I gave you and hear what's happening.
Presets on many units,Pandora is not an exception tho,
are often made for specific guitar-gear
and don't sound very powerful when you just turn it on,
it always needs some extra tweaking. smile.gif

Panning is just another term for Balance...
So you just change the balance of your speakers so that about 60% comes fom one side and 40% from the other.
On my 0404 I have a mono button, I usually use that to get both speakers working on a mono guitar signal.

Hope this helps...

Not really, cause with balance you always have 100% value in total,
like 60% and 40% per example as you said.
With panning you can go like 30% right and 45% left,
those are positions of signals in stereo image. smile.gif

Panning is usually done on the mixer, real one or the one in DAW you're using,
like Cubase, Logic,Protools etc.
So you get two signals into mixer using 2 channels
and each channel has pan pot on itself,
that is where you do panning, left or right and how much. smile.gif
