I think they'd hold up pretty well!! In fact, I just ordered a bridge unit for my 8 String RC8x!!!
It's the most organic, dynmic, EMG they've ever made and it still have the active punch. So if you've got a guitar that's already active it's a no brainer
I have EMG 808 pups in my RC8x now and
I HATE THEM MORE THAN ANYTHING*Too compressed
*Too brittle
*Too fizzy
*Too boomy
*Too mushy
*Too much bleh/crap/egad!!

I like them, they sound pretty well rounded.
How do you think they'd hold up with a basswood body/maple neck/rosewood fretboard?
I've been looking for a new set to toss in my Michael Kelly Patriot
