Thats a short list for me as i only listen to Bullet for my Valentine when it comes to metalcore. And i think their first album is far better than their second, even if they say its way harder and uptempo smile.gif (imo it is not )

As I lay Dying
Devil Wears Prada
Killswitch Engage

My son is the singer in a Metalcore Band so I developed an ear for it. It was not hard since my favorite band in High School was Maiden. So many people my age cannot get past the screaming but once you develop an ear for it you can really appreciate the highs and lows etc. Plus I like bands that mix in a little bit of melodic singing.
I really like Oli Herbert who plays for As I lay Dying. He plays lots of technical guitar plus they are one of the few Metalcore groups that play guitar solos instead of just breakdowns. Thats another thing I have learned to like about Metalcore is the Breakdowns.

Hey guys!

I wonder how got got to know THE SORROW ? Their an austrian Band, my country, and therefore pretty unknown^^ I saw them twice, they are really awesome all of you metalcore guys really should check them out. I thnink their minimum as good as KSE or All that remains. (saw all of them^^)

What i like about THE SORROW is their Melodic Death Metal toutch instead of the Hardcore tough which a lot of Metalcore have.

greetz, peter

Check out Between the buried and me! One of my favourite bands. Although they have described themselves as "adult contemporary progressive death metal" tongue.gif there's alot of metalcore influences in there, especially on their self-titled debut album.

Other metalcore bands i like are:
Converge
Zao
Underoath
Poison the well
