I am having trounle with my istrument cable....
everytime after a couple of months it wont work properly. The sound come and goes....
Anyone else who have theis problem????
Btw i use schulz cable

You mean that you buy a new cable and after few months it doesn't work , looses signal in some positions ? And every new cable does the same ?? You should change the brand you buy...Also see if you are not damaging it yourself (stepping on it or applying pressure to the jacks because of sitting position)....Higher quality cable will definitly last you much longer..

Had it many times. Usually it's the soldering at the ends, by the jack. Unscrew the cylinder and look if something is a glitch. Cheap cords will break sooner or later. It's a lot better to spend that extra on a really expensive cord, money well spent will be money saved in the long run.

I kill my cables too,I think the whole band jumps up on down on any cable I have connecting to my guitar!
Will have to go wireless soon for live stuff and back to short cables for recording

Did you check the guitar electronics?
Could be the weld of the cable. That's easy to repair. If the head of the cable is easy to open you could check that too.

I didn't understand you properly superize - do you experience the problem on the SAME cable every couple of months, or do you buy another one every couple of months and always the same thing?
If you do experience it with one cable, I think you can buy another cable. Cables are expendable goods, so they will wear of sooner or later, specially at solder points where they are the weakest.

Have you checked some other cables on the same guitar? Maybe it is the guitars fault, some soldering connection or something. You can easily check this out if you plug in another cable in there. If another cable also shows signs of signal loss, then it's possibly the guitar input jack. Often, the inner side of the jack (that's female 6.3mm mono jack inside the guitar input cavity), that little piece of metal has bended too much, so it doesn't touch the cable jack anymore.

I have the same problem. It is really annonying, but after I had bought a more expensive cable I never had problems again.
