So this morning my high school jazz band got to listen to tapes of judges evaluating our performance. In almost all of the pieces we performed, I had a solo, and a there was a specific soloist judge evaluating my performance. I must say, I was impressed with my solo's, and so were many others, but not this judge . He thought I had too much a rock influence, and I guess to an extent he was right. He mentioned such jazz guitarists as Joe Pass, and I do believe I could benefit from a "in the style of" Joe Pass lesson!
Any GMC instructors want to step up to the plate??
Would also be worth looking at Ben Howell's jazz guitar lesson Stratman.
Cheers,
Tony
I'm up to some jazz stuff since our Ben is out of rec equipment.

Anyhow,stay tuned.
