Geist Und Macht?, German GMCers Help? Options

Todd here I'm working on a thematic concept for a music project I"m involved in and drawn to a German concept/phrase, "Geist Und Macht" and I wanted to see if some of our German GMCers can help me understand it a bit better.

From my understanding, it can represent quite a bit, from the struggle between spirituality/tradition and technology/progress to the internal struggle between the soul and the mind.

I hope to explore this theme on the first Divinus Mortus set of material In fact I may call the first release Geist/Macht.
