Hello EVERYBODY!

I have been using this site for about 2 and half months, within those two in a half months I think I learned more than I have from taking a year of guitar at college, and playing tabs of random artists.

I have an acoustic A and L steel string guitar, a fender strat which isn't really mine, and my pride a joy Epiphone Les Paul Gothic (just got it a few days ago).

Interested in classical music, metal, and rock.

Classical I want to play etudes or arpeggios? so if anyone can recommend any thing it would be great. Or something I can play my acoustic guitar with, because power cords don't have that punch. Also can't really reach past the 12th fret with my acoustic...

Also want to play like the band Hurt, but when I searched Hurt they had nothing so if anyone can recommended anything to get that sound it would be much appreciated.

I hope to one day be able to play to a drum beat if that makes sense, and have it sound good.

Well, basically on most acoustics its near impossible to play higher than on 12th fret, beacause of the body construction. There are some guitars with cutaways (I believe its called a "folk cutaway") which resolves this issue a bit.

Basically playing metal or neoclassical (that means the style of malmsteen etc.) on acoustic is a bad idea, since they are constructed for playing with a pick and for the thin strings, that electric guitar has - why dont you use your Ephiphone?smile.gif SHe should be much more suitable wink.gif

On Mondays I take my guitar to acoustic to college, because I have like 2 hours to kill in between classes. Be a pain to haul an amp and an electric (I take a bus). Spring is starting to look like spring, so it will be nice playing out side.

At home ya I play my epiphone, I want a kitty sticker tongue.gif to put on my guitar its looking blacker than I thought it was.
