Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

I think that you played every lick very well and the only two things that I can comment about this is that comparing this take with Stephane, the main two differences are dynamics and groove. That's the next thing that you could add to make this lesson sound even better. Compare both takes and you'll notice what I mean. There are some licks around 00.30 and 00:38 and also starting from 00:40 that could be played groovier. Besides these two details, your take is very good, congrats! In my opinion, as well, you should try and play along with Stephane's recording in order to catch the phrasing details and you will most likely nail it I always learn my pieces like that - once I am confident that everything is in place, I start working without the original recording. When listening to Stephane, there's a kind of 'snap' feeling when he plays those micro bends and cuts off. Like the opening licks at 0:04. There's a feeling of attitude.. a confidence that you need to attain with those type of licks. They need to sound kind of playful and obnoxious. It's very hard to explain it but I hope you can get an idea of what I mean These lessons always make me groove in my chair like an idiot, I love it ! Devil sits in the details. There is very specific shuffle groove that works as some ghost accents between notes that seems to sound very straight. It's a very hard thing to execute as a learning progress. It's more about how You fill Yourselft with that groove.
